About Me

Hello Everyone,

my name is Jamie Simko.

Welcome to my blog. I put this site together so you can get a better idea of what I’m all about and the thoughts that are floating around in my head most of the time.

So here’s the inside scoop…

I’m constantly refining and remolding everything about myself. I’m hardly ever sitting idle because I favor progress in life over stagnation.

During a gratifying day, I enjoy being in a peaceful environment with loving and caring people who warmly welcome me in. I usually play music with my friends on the weekends to escape from my active schedule and live in the moment from time to time. Now if you’re super lucky, you might catch me at the local dance club demonstrating some fresh new moves that will probably leave you asking the question “how is that even possible?”

Some of my other hobbies include entrepreneurship, business start-ups, riding bikes, riding motorcycles, rock climbing, walkin’ the dog, drumming, guitar playing, singing (or at least trying), writing music, recording music, yoga, backflips, reading uplifting books, karate, cooking, meditating, public speaking, gambling, adventurous weekend getaways with special lady friends, having a good time all of the time, hardly ever taking anything too serious, and laughing so hard that my spine feels like it’s about to snap into forty-five pieces.

I work out of my home in Nuevo CA, and spend most of my free time attending seminars that teach me stuff that I never would or could have learned in college.

Most people ask me why I dropped out of college. Here’s my only answer: I HATED IT, AND IT WAS A WASTE OF MY TIME!

Show me a person that is going to college and taking ALL of the required classes who genuinely LOVES showing up early every day to class, agrees with the majority of what their teachers are saying, is just delighted to STUDY ALL NIGHT before that big test to forget it all in about a week.

Exactly, YOU CAN’T!

For me personally, I absolutely hated college! I remember going there every day for close to 2 years asking myself this ongoing question“WHY AM I HERE, WHY AM I HERE, WHY AM I HERE?” and I never really got a better answer than “Well, you should be going here if you want to get a good job someday.”

Here’s the thing, I never really wanted to get a GOOD JOB, which by the way stands for JUST OVER BROKE. I’ve always felt the desire to do something much bigger with my life than to work 40 to 50 hours a week for someone else. I’ve always felt that I’ve got some really good ideas that need to be brought to the world, and I can make a living somehow by bringing these ideas to life and sharing them with other people.

Don’t you feel the same way about yourself?

Through the really confusing time of searching in my life I stumbled upon the world of personal development (which you’ll notice I talk a lot about on my blog). This is when things really began to change for me. I started reading books that told me things like “You don’t have do go to college to be successful” and “Even Bill Gates was a college dropout”. It also told me that “education is a process that is never complete, it continues throughout life until the end”. It was a complete 180 from everything that I was ever told up to that time.

Here’s the real kicker. When I was reading all of those books, something interesting was happening to me. I actually had a hard time NOT reading them. You get that? I actually LOVED reading the stuff! I couldn’t get enough of it. When I saw how much reading Personal Development books excited me over ‘World Civilizations, 2nd Edition‘ and ‘College Triginometry: the skills you’ll ALWAYS use, every day, for the rest of your life‘ <—(haha!) it was hard to put it down.

Now I’m being a bit obnoxious, but I’m sure you’re getting the point. When do we actually use all the stuff that college and traditional education teaches us? Exactly, next to never. Why is that? It’s because our educational system is not designed for us to think for ourselves. It actually kills our creativity that we were born with. It teaches us how to…. are you ready for it???

BE THE BEST EMPLOYEES EVER!!!

So here’s the big question that I have for YOU. Do you want to be a really good employee for the rest of your life who never thinks outside of the box? Or are you the type of person who maybe wants to be an entrepreneur? Are you creative? Do you want to own your own business someday?

I know that if you would have asked me questions like these 10 years ago I would have totally agreed with THINKING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX, and working smart, rather than working hard.

Luckily SOMEONE came along before I was completely brainwashed and picked me up and introduced me to all of this stuff and it has COMPLETELY CHANGED MY LIFE for the better.

Now my goal is to share my message with as many people as possible and find the people that understand what I’m talking about.

I look forward to meeting you someday! :)
