Is Money Good Or Bad???

I’m writing this post to try and answer the question that most people walk around their entire lives never answering. That question is, “Is money GOOD or BAD?

When you were raised you were probably told things like, “The Bible says that ‘Money is the root of all evil!’” This is actually not true because what the Bible actually says is that “The LOVE of money is the root of all that is evil.” That’s the act of acquiring money for its own sake, with no intention of getting it other than to hoard it and keep it to yourself. Basically selfish GREED.

Now let’s see how your subconscious mind is programmed at this present moment. If I were to tell you that I am going to make $15 Million over the next year, what are the first thoughts that come to your mind?

Most people are probably thinking things like this: ”Well that’s an awful lot of money to be making. Do you really NEED to make that much? Jamie, there’s really only so much money to go around. Come on, be more realistic.

Now, let’s put a little twist on it. What if I told you that I want to make $15 Million over the next year, yet I want to GIVE AWAY 99% of it to help people get clean water in the most remote and impoverished part of the world? That then changes the perception on it quite a bit doesn’t it? I then go from being a greedy bastard to being a really nice, giving, sharing guy! You would even probably encourage my goal and see if there’s any way that you could help. Isn’t that incredible? :)

Now don’t think that I’m just picking on you, because I used to think the same exact way.

I was raised with a very bad relationship around money. I grew up truly believing that if I had a lot of money that I would in some way become a bad person.

Yet, after personally talking to and studying many wealthy people over the last couple of years I’ve realized that most wealthy people are actually really nice, giving people.

I agree with Steve Schuitt on this one.

My end conclusion is this: MONEY IS NEUTRAL, IT ONLY MAKES YOU MORE OF THE PERSON THAT YOU ALREADY ARE.

I hope this helps. :)
